Adult cotton apron made by women in rural Namibia. They embroider their story by embroidery and process their experiences and problems. The women meet weekly to evaluate each other's products, hand them in and receive new material and new thread. Embroidery is possible everywhere; Size: 76 cm x 70 cm. Available in black with white/grey stitching. The embroidery designs in the village vary depending on the story each Penduka embroidery woman has to tell (village scenes, fetching water, Katutura street scenes ...). Robust material, 100% cotton, machine washable. Weight 150 grams.  Very durable, mine is 27 years old and still going strong!
